What is bibliomancy?

An old practice of opening a book at random and taking guidance from the passage your eye lands on. In this app, a single tap on the book selects a passage from public-domain Japanese literature and pairs it with a short, gentle reading.

• No ads, no account. Designed to be quiet from the moment it opens

Included works

Passages are selected from works in Aozora Bunko (the Japanese public-domain library), such as Jun'ichirō Tanizaki's The Secret and Kenji Miyazawa's The Cat Office. More works will be added over time. The app is currently in Japanese.
